Centocef-1.5gm is a sterile injectable antibiotic that combines ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin with broad-spectrum bactericidal activity, and sulbactam, a β-lactamase inhibitor. This combination enhances the efficacy of ceftriaxone against resistant bacteria. It is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, septicemia, and meningitis. It is also used in surgical prophylaxis.
